Overview:
Associate will be the day-to-day contact,responsible for assisting Client Finance with the daily tasks required to meet the financial needs for a portfolio of clients in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.The Associate will interact regularly with account teams to gather information needed to complete finance and billing tasks. The associate will beresponsible for proactive job cost management and for the successful completion of the tasks below for their assigned clients. TheAssociate must understand and comply with client contracts as they relate to compensation, billing, compliance, financialreporting,and other deliverables. In addition, you will maintain the overall integrity of the financial and management reportingprocess andensure compliance with all SOX and specific client requirements.
Your Impact:
  • Assist in forecasting, analyzing, and reporting revenue by client consistent with Wavemaker policies and GAAP; resource allocation and utilization
  • Operational / Administrative account setup and maintenance: (setting up codes, receivables, billing issues, estimates, work with GroupM Finance team on various issues)
  • Support overall budgeting and re-forecasting efforts; submit Monthly net sales, Quarterly Forecast
  • Work with GroupM to help manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely billing and sufficient cash flow for the agency. Assist the collection of past-due accounts; ensure adherence to contract billing policies; provide summaries of monthly billing and reconciliations
  • Work with Controllership with regards to Sarbanes Oxley process compliance (implementation and monitoring), as well as support various audit compliance efforts (internal and external).
  • Proactively document and follow up on any budgeting, billing, invoicing, or payment issues that pertain to Clients.
  • Manage day to day Finance responsibilities on Clients including but not limited to client/product/job set up, production invoices, ad hoc reporting, coding invoices, pulling reports and vendor payment issues.
  • Compile manpower actuals for finance director/client review.
  • Maintain staff plans to ensure the data is up to date and accurate.
Your Qualifications:
  • 0 -1 years of experience in finance related role
  • Internship experience in finance and accounting preferred
  • Business degree preferred.
  • Marketing & Communications Services / Media and Advertising industry experience desired, experience in Digital media a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel:Vlookups, pivot tables, charts, graphs, etc.
  • Organized with strong time management and follow-through skills
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A strong team player with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to see big picture and work on diverse projects
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to work independently
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $35,000 to $75,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
