Job Summary

The Tear Down Technician should possess a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble blowers and exhausters according to blueprints;
  • Work with the Engineering Department and the Quality Assurance Department to troubleshoot and solve problems;
  • Apply standard work practices;
  • Follow all safety rules, environmental regulating procedures and utilize required safety equipment when appropriate;
  • Adhere to 6s (5s) principles, clean, organize, and properly store all equipment;
  • Operate Crane and Fork Truck to move equipment and parts (training and certification provided by the company);
  • Operate machinery and hand tools as necessary.

Basic Qualifications

  • Blue print and ruler knowledge;
  • Excellent hands on experience with basic hand tools;
  • Excellent mechanical skills and small parts assembly proficiency;
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally;

Ownership Works Grant: When you have reached your one-year service anniversary with Ingersoll Rand, you will become eligible to receive a grant of restricted stock units ("RSUs") that will equal 10% of your annual base salary in grant date value. The actual grant will take place either in the quarter of eligibility or the following quarter based on specified grant schedules. The RSUs will vest two years from the date of grant .
