The Global Health Division (GHD), within the International Development Group (IDG), works in Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs); Global Health Security and Public Health Preparedness; Health Systems Strengthening - including Health Governance, Health Finance, Human Resources for Health, Capacity Building, and Health Policy and Advocacy; and Integrated Care - including Reproductive, Maternal, and Child Health and Family Planning. We address a range of public health problems to reduce disparities, lower disease burdens, and build locally owned sustainable health programs. The GHD is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning, and Adapting (MERLA) Data Associate for USAID's Act to End Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) | East Program (), a global flagship initiative that has supported 13 countries working to control and eliminate neglected tropical diseases.
The MERLA Data Associate will work closely with Act to End NTDs | East Program to ensure high quality data collection, analysis, and reporting. This position requires reviewing large datasets in detail and providing feedback on data quality. This person will also support HQ and in-country MERLA staff to review data for routine reporting to USAID. Furthermore, this individual will participate in the development and maintenance of a DHIS2 database, through testing new development and functionality.
The successful candidate will have excellent data management skills, strong attention to detail, and comfort working with large amounts of data at the same time.This individual will also collaborate respectfully with multiple team members from diverse backgrounds.
This position will report to the Act | East MERLA Analytics Manager. The position may be based at one of the RTI regional offices or the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina (RTI headquarters), or be remote within the United States and may be expected to travel (domestic or internationally) up to 5% of the time.Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
