Job Description

We are currently looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Model Maker CNC Machinist to join our team. As a Model Maker CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality models and prototypes. Your precision and craftsmanship will play a crucial role in bringing our designs to life.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce models and prototypes according to specifications

- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models

- Collaborate with designers and engineers to understand project requirements

- Select appropriate materials and tools for each project

- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure accuracy and quality

- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines

- Inspect finished models for defects and make necessary adjustments

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Targeted Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role

- Proficiency in operating CNC machines, including knowledge of G-code programming

- Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models

- Knowledge of various materials used in model making, such as wood, plastic, and metal

- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a workshop environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification or diploma in machining or a related field

- Experience with CAD/CAM software, such as AutoCAD/NX or SolidWorks

- Familiarity with 3D printing technology

- Knowledge of other machining techniques, such as manual milling and turning
